Jan Künne
Jan Künne is Vice President EU and Asia Pacific and represents EDG’s services on regenerative Innovation. He is a senior consultant and coach in the areas of innovation management, strategy development, and regenerative business development. Given his career in multiple corporate leadership roles, he deeply understands the challenges faced at all levels of management.
Jan was a Vice President and a member of the Management Board in several companies in Europe. In his last executive position, he was Head of Innovation and Strategy for TPC, the largest broadcast production company in Switzerland. His team created the Prix Europa winning radio solution DIY FM, one early step beyond the traditional platform business. In the automotive industry, Jan played an instrumental role in supporting the development teams for BMW’s i3 and i8 models and also guiding the steering board of Rolls-Royce’s “Dawn” and “Deep Learning & AI” implementation teams.
Jan worked was the head project manager for “Production 4.0” for one of the largest public broadcasters in Germany, where his challenge was to reduce costs while simultaneously enabling disruptive innovation. Nowadays he is advising big Broadcasters and Media Companies on how to implement, new technologies such as Generative AI in their business.Currently, Jan advises major broadcasters and media companies on implementing new technologies such as Generative AI in their businesses and also leads corporate and institutional transformations to achieve CO2 net-zero or negative emissions.

Jan brought the concept of Digital Public Infrastructure thinking to our Clients in Europe and the US and builds a strong bridge between the continents, to make the world a more equitable and regenerative place. Jan is a regular speaker at major events and conferences, “Future ICT Forum for Sustainable Cities” in Bangalore, “The India Advantage Summit” in Bangalore, “ABB Engineering Summit” in Locarno, and the “Ljubljana Forum” in Slovenia.
He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of “The India Advantage Summit” in Bangalore, Swaayatt Robots AV development Bohpal India, Deep Eigen Learning Platform for Machine Learning Bohpal India, UN the Denim upcycling revolution Bangalore.
Jan holds a degree in Education from Nuremberg University. He has also completed certificates in "Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy" from MIT, "Business and Climate Change Towards Net Zero Emissions" from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership, "Beyond Smart Cities: Emerging Design and Technology" from MIT Media Lab, and "Smart Cities- Management of Smart Urban Infrastructures" from EPFL Ecole Polytechnique federale de Lausanne.
